Your keyto safedriving
A driving school in Makepé St. Tropez, Douala. Theory and practical, in English and French, on real Douala roads — with a simulator for the weeks before you meet them. Training from 85,000 XAF, plus the mandatory 25,000 XAF registration and licence test fee.
What this school is for
Four things we are actually accountable for.
-
01
Bilingual pedagogy
Every theory lesson and every hour behind the wheel is delivered in English or in French — whichever one you think in. You never learn the road in your second language.
-
02
University partnerships
We run cohorts with universities and institutions, so students can train around a timetable that already exists instead of choosing between the two.
-
03
Road safety advocacy
Aligned to UN SDG 3.6 — halving road deaths and injuries — and SDG 11. We campaign on Douala's roads, not only in our classroom.
-
04
Scholarships and outreach
We visit accident victims in hospital, support emergencies, and give driving scholarships to people who could not otherwise pay for the licence.
The school itself
A classroom with the signs on the wall, a simulator rig, and instructors who take you onto the roads you will actually drive.
Eight weeks, laid out honestly
This is the Normal programme, week by week. The faster programmes cover the same ground with more sessions per week — not less content.
Theory runs every Wednesday and Friday. Every lesson, theory or practical, is 1 hour 30 minutes.
-
Week 1
All theory and highway regulations
Signs, priorities, the highway code. Before anything moves, you learn what the road is already telling you.
-
Week 2
Two theory lessons, one practical
The first time your hands are on the wheel, with the code still fresh enough to argue with you.
-
Weeks 3–4
Simulator
Starting and stopping a manual car, pedal management, gear shifts, holding a lane, free-drive simulation. You stall in here, not in traffic on Boulevard de la Liberté.
-
Weeks 5–7
Live road application
Direct road exercises, changing gears in traffic, junctions, town tours, reverse driving and reverse parking. Real Douala, real conditions.
-
Week 8
Final assessment
Reverse parking drills, basic mechanical maintenance, general revision and the final examination.
Fees, with nothing hidden
Training fee plus the mandatory registration and licence test fee. That total is what you pay.
What to bring on day one
Bring these and you can register the same day. Nothing here is a surprise fee — the two that cost money are listed with their price.
Come and see it
Walk in, look at the classroom, meet an instructor. No appointment needed.
